The Grand Canyon is one of Mother Nature’s masterpieces and it’s all yours to explore. *Please note- The South Rim is at an altitude of 2400 meters and has a very dry climate. Most new employees go through a brief period while their bodies adjust. Headaches and shortness of breath may occur for some, and it is recommended to stay well hydrated and get plenty of rest upon arrival.

Location:  Arizona, The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the state of Arizona.

Weather: Temperatures vary wildly throughout the year, with summer highs within the Inner Gorge commonly exceeding 100 °F (37.8 °C) and winter minimum temperatures sometimes falling below 0°F (−17.8°C) along the canyon’s rims.

Job positions

Guest Room Attendant – Clean assigned guest accommodations to standards including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, amenities, removing dirty linens, cleaning outside guest rooms, in hallways and surrounding grounds.

Able to meet physical demands of the job, which include bending, twisting, lifting, pushing and long periods of standing. Works with cleaning chemicals.

Kitchen Utility – Clean and sanitize all cooking utensils, organize back dock including surrounding areas, assist with cleaning and sanitizing all aspects of the restaurant including bathrooms, emptying trash, and other duties.

Ability to physically stand for long periods of time. Ability to work around high temperatures, cleaning detergents and chemicals.

Pay rate: 7.80 – 8.00 $ per hour

Hours: 30 hour per week guarantee – overtime available

Start date: 19 May – 11 June 2014

End date: 25 September – 30 September 2014

Housing provided by the employer only for 16.8 $ per week!!! Within a walking distance from the work site.
