Lack’s Beach Service is the largest beach service in Myrtle Beach, SC, covering approximately 9 miles of beachfront. In operation since 1974, Lack’s Beach Service maintains a high standard of service for the community. Lifeguards at Lack’s not only provide exceptional lifeguard skills, but also rent out beach equipment to the public. Having a dual role job as a lifeguard makes Lack’s Beach Service unique.

Lifeguards act as dual role lifeguards. Guards rent out beach concession, which requires the daily set-up and take-down of beach chairs and umbrellas. Ocean lifeguarding includes, but is not limited to, beach patron and swimmer surveillance. The season runs from April until October; however, individual contract dates will be completed at the time of employment. All guards must pass a 500 meter freestyle swim test in a pool in 10 minutes or less on the first day of training.
Job pay: 8.03 per hour
(If participants stay until the exact end date agreed on the job offer, there is a bonus of $30/week for work from 6/1/2013 until Labor Day (first Monday of September).
Housing : Provided – 85$ per week
