Location
The Murray Hotel is a family owned hotel located on Mackinac Island. This hotel is part of the tradition of this wonderful island in Michigan.
Mackinac Island is an island and resort area, covering 3.8 square miles or 9.8 km2 in land area, in the U.S. state of Michigan, located in Lake Huron.
Much of the island has undergone extensive historical preservation and restoration as a result, the entire island is listed as a National Historic Landmark. It is well known for its numerous cultural events and its wide variety of architectural styles, including the famous Victorian hotels, its fudge and its ban on almost all motor vehicles. More than 80 percent of the island is preserved as Mackinac Island State Park.

Pay rate – $9.37 – 32-40 + working hours per week

End dates: September 10th – September 15th
Housing
$55 per week – Participants will be in dormitory style housing. Rent is paid every two weeks in advance which includes all utilities with light housekeeping duties at least once a month. If participants wish to live in Bennett Hall (Murray Hotel housing), rooms are dormitory style with separate shared bathrooms for men and women. Fifteen (15) rooms are available, varying in size to accommodate two to six people; each person with their own bed. As the Murray Hotel does not supply food to employees, cooking facilities, refrigerators and freezer are available. Coin operated washers and dryers are available on the Bennett Hall premises. All employees are subject to light housekeeping duties at least once a month to clean up the general living areas.
