Location
Pigeon forge, Tennessee is a very popular tourist destination near The Great Smoky Mountains. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited national park in the United States. Activities include hiking, picnicking, and fishing. Participants can take the trolley down to Pigeon Forge and through the Great Smoky Mountains Arts and Craft Community, the largest group of independent artists in North America. Participants can also enjoy watching a local professional baseball team, the Tennessee Smokies, play at Smokies Park in Sevierville, Tennessee. Games are played all summer Long.
Job position
Crew Member
Position Description: Crew Member duties include food preparation, assisting customers, taking customer orders and handling money. General cleaning and additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor as necessary.
Approximate working hours
30 hours per week
Starting Hourly Wage
$7.25 per hour
Required employee qualifications
Participants must have excellent English, as position requires constant interaction with customers.
Overtime rate/Terms
1.5 x wage after 40 hours per week
Employment period
Start dates May 10 – May 20
End dates August 15 – September 15
Housing
Housing cost is approximately $300-$430 per person, per month. Spirit Cultural Exchange will provide housing suggestions on job offer but participants will be required to make reservations for their housing as soon as possible.
