JOB DESCRIPTION, IN GENERAL;

The Security Team is responsible for implementing and enforcing the ship’s security policies in areas including the decks, gangway, and superstructures.

Members of this team are tasked to preserve the safety of crew members, guests, and the vessel through their observations and quick reporting of unusual incidents and/or situations during safety rounds.

To join this team, candidates must have previous experience in at least one of the following areas: army, aviation, hotel security, and police; the appropriate skills and training depending on his/her role; and knowledge of relevant equipment, processes, and strategies to promote adequate security.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

STCW + SECALL + DSDSEC + Medical + Visas + background checks

A valid passport must be valid at least for more than a year.

Important: Courses will be done once the candidate was approved.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

English – fluent in verbal and written.

Additional languages or EU passport holders are a BIG plus.

Leadership skills – Preferred personnel with leadership background (Army, Navy, Police, or Government security experience preferred) and with high interpersonal communication skills, which will require to lead a diverse security team onboard in routine and in emergency situations.

Communication skills – Candidate needs to be polite, pleasant. 

Besides, should have experience in delivering training presentation to the crowd. Work well in a team as well as an individual.

High level of self-confidence. NOT arrogant

Computer skills – Mandatory (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint), other software skills are plus.

Quick learners and adaptability to a new environment is a must skill.

High level of personal appearance and grooming must.

Emergency response skills – Experience and general knowledge in fire and first aid as well as all type of situations which requires immediate response by the individual.

Candidate reference verification.

High customer service skills and orientation are a must.

CONTRACT MAIN DETAILS:

The contract between 26/8 (or 34/10 weeks on/off)

Wages: 1200 up to 1550$ per working month for security guard
